Measures 3-dimensional motion (acceleration and angular displacement in 1, 2 or 3 axes<\/strong>), providing data for users to track sports activity or medical therapy compliance and improve performance.<\/p>\n The HOBO Pendant G Acceleration Data Logger is a waterproof, three-channel logger<\/strong> with 8-bit\u00a0resolution and can record up to approximately 21,800 combined x-, y-, and z-axis acceleration\u00a0readings or internal logger events<\/strong>. The logger uses a coupler and optical base station with USB\u00a0interface for launching and data readout by a computer.<\/p>\n The logger can be used for a wide variety of experiments, demonstrations and field studies by\u00a0measuring dynamic acceleration resulting from motion, shock, or vibration. It can also detect\u00a0static acceleration of gravity<\/strong>, making it possible to measure tilt, activity, and inclination.<\/p>\n The logger uses an internal three-axis accelerometer with a range of \u00b1 3 g based on micromachined\u00a0silicon sensors consisting of beams that deflect with acceleration. These beams are\u00a0arranged to act as a variable capacitor. As the beams move, the capacitance changes\u00a0proportionately. This capacitance change is converted to voltage, filtered and measured by the\u00a0logger, and displayed in the software in units of g-force.<\/p>\n Requires HOBOware software and either an Optic USB Base Station or a HOBO Waterproof Shuttle (U-DTW-1).
