Temperature monitoring for food safety and quality

Created for fast-food chain and now widely available, this 21 CFR Part 11B compliant wireless probe replaces manual temperature checks for greater food safety and quality. Modernise production, preparation, and recipe creation with remote monitoring and automated data logging.

Monnit’s Wireless Food Probe assesses the temperature of solid or liquid foods to ensure they are safe and ready-to-eat. Equipped with a leaded needle probe, the device measures temperatures up to 260°C (500°F) and accurately reports the internal temperature of cooked or refrigerated food. Temperatures are displayed on the device’s screen and recorded in iMonnit software, creating an easy-to-read log of current and past readings.

The device features:

  • 4-digit temperature display
  • Water resistant IP67 rated
  • Wipe down ready case.
  • Record and display buttons to transmit and view temperature readings.
  • Record session capable to actively monitor individual cook cycles.
  • Display units: C or F.
  • Ships with high temp metal braided lead. T-handle lead optional

The Food Probe utilises an RTD temperature probe to provide long-term, highly accurate temperature readings. The sensor features an on-unit display and two buttons. When pressed, the Display button will provide a new temperature reading that will not be reported to iMonnit. Momentarily pressing the Record button will record and then transmit a single data point. When the Record button is held down, the display will activate, and the sensor will start a continuous data recording session based on configurations in iMonnit.

This sensor come standard with 2 AAA batteries and has a typical battery life of approximately 1 years.

Monnit Gateway Options

An integral component of any IoT network is the gateway. A gateway device allows for data from sensors to be transmitted to the iMonnit software platform.

Monnit Ethernet Wireless Gateway 4

Monnit’s Ethernet Gateways allow your Monnit Wireless Sensors to communicate with the iMonnit™ Online Wireless Sensor Monitoring and Notification System without the need for a PC. Simply provide power and plug the gateway into an open Ethernet network port with an internet connection. It will then automatically connect with our online servers, providing the perfect solution for commercial locations where there is an active internet connection.

Monnit 4G + Ethernet IoT Gateway

The ALTA® by Monnit Wireless IoT Gateway combines a 4G LTE CAT-M1/NB2 cellular engine and Ethernet platform with Monnit’s wireless access point network to aggregate and communicate data from Monnit ALTA Wireless Sensors. The ALTA IoT Gateway allows ALTA Sensors to operate on the world’s leading cellular networks and stay connected to the Internet. The gateway uses AC main power but also has redundant power through a battery backup lasting up to 60 hours.

To meet the global demand for enterprise IoT deployment, the IoT Gateway communicates with the cloud-based iMonnit® monitoring software via cellular transmission, making it ideal for remote locations or where the Internet isn’t available. The RJ-45 Ethernet jack allows local device configuration, diagnostics, and connectivity backup. The IoT Gateway is instrumental in sending sensor notifications via text, email, or call if user-defined conditions are met or exceeded.
